My life was at the edge of the rapids With the grizzly who let me stay So long as I didn’t whimper too loudly When it roared its fury at me Until the bear looked hungry And a rescue crew came Shouting that I had to jump Into the cyclone that day I jumped and grabbed At rocks, vines, and branches Slicing my hands To the meat and the bone Do you want to live?
